We're All Settled In!

It has been a while since I updated my 5 readers on our life! 😂 Kind of joking.

Our move/PCS went pretty smooth! (I'm going to make a separate post with PCS tips and things that were lifesavers for us!)  We took five days to travel, We stopped one night in Liberal, Kansas, to get past an ice storm! The kids thought the entire trip was so cool, and enjoyed swimming.

The next night we stayed in Albuquerque, NM. After NM we went to visit my brother in Phoenix, and got to meet his girlfriend! Was fun to see them. ☺️
Then we stayed two nights in Anaheim and visited family! (my dad is from CA. and all of his side of the family lives in soCal!).

Despite the kids having a blast, AJ and I were super exhausted. AJ was at OCS for five weeks right before we moved, it was a whirlwind! I think it took us several months to catch up on sleep and energy.

Once we arrived at Travis AFB, we stayed in TLF (extended stay hotel on base), for 10 days. It was sloshy and rainy and not fun being stuck in that hotel.

So we were SUPER excited to move into our home!

AJ threw himself into work right away, and the kids and I explored the area. It took two weeks to get the kids into the school on base, once they were back in school it felt like we slipped into our "new normal" pretty quick. Our neighbors have been a huge blessing and we feel honored to have been placed in a really fun and active neighborhood!

(Some of the neighbor kids playing Mario Kart)

But it has not been easy, and it has not been all fun and games! You all see our pretty pictures and adventures, but behind the scenes we have been dealing with crazy pay issues, respite care drama, big decisions, and deployment orders two months after we arrived! Yes, AJ will start his 3rd deployment this fall.

We felt like God was SO good for leading us here and providing for us during this journey. And we know that he is STILL good through the trials! We know he always a purpose and a plan, and we know he will continue to provide strength during this time.

"Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord of the earth
Does not become weary or tired.
His understanding is inscrutable.
He gives strength to the weary,
And to him who lack might, He increases power.
Though youth grows weary and tired,
And vigorous young men stumble badly,
Yet those who wait for the Lord
Will gain new strength"
Isaiah 40:28-31

We finally got approved for respite care, which will help me out A LOT while AJ is gone! I also hired a housekeeper to come bi-weekly. The last few months we've had time to prep and process this upcoming adventure. We have found a church that we love and there's a women's Bible study on base I really enjoy!

That's everything I have to say for now, will post again soon.
